The Association of Municipalities of the Vall d'Albaida, with the collaboration of Edicions Bromera, announces the already emblematic Prize for Erotic Literature "The Vall d'Albaida". This year they celebrate the 30th edition.
The deadline for submitting originals ends on June 24, 2024.
Bases:
1. Original and unpublished works on erotic themes, written in Valencian, with a minimum length of 105,000 characters including spaces (approximately, a minimum of 50 pages) may apply for the "La Vall d'Albaida" Erotic Literature Prize DIN A-4). The works will be submitted by e-mail in PDF format, in Arial or similar typeface, 12-point, double-spaced. This document will have the same title as the aspiring work. The body of the message will also include the title of the work and, where appropriate, the pseudonym of the author. In another attached document, which will have as its name the word plica in Word or PDF format, the identification data of the applicants (name and surname, address, email, telephone and ID) will be recorded. The officials of the Association of Municipalities of the Vall d'Albaida will preserve the identity of the author and it will only be revealed to the jury after the selection of the winning work.
2. The amount of the prize announced is €6,000 and will be understood as payment for the copyright of the first 2,000 copies sold. Of the remaining copies sold, the author will receive a 10% on the sale price to the public, according to the contract with Edicions Bromera. The endowment of the prize will be subject to the corresponding tax withholdings.
3. The jury will be formed by Artur Ahuir, Ana Bellido, Lorena Benavent, Rosa Ribes and Lourdes Toledo, Salvador Vendrell and the president of the Association of Municipalities of the Vall d'Albaida, or a person he delegates, who will preside over the jury.
4. The awarded book will be published by Edicions Bromera. Likewise, Edicions Bromera will have a preferred option, for a maximum period of one month, to decide on the publication of works not awarded, if so recommended by the jury. In each of the copies published, the award won in the competition and the organization of this competition will be stated in charge of the Association of Municipalities of the Vall d'Albaida.
5. The jury will follow the procedure of successive votes until obtaining a majority of votes in favor of a certain work, which will be the winner. However, if the jury believes that none of the submitted works meet the minimum quality to be published, the prize may not be awarded. The amount of the prize will not be divided in any case.
6. The submission deadline will close on June 24, 2023. The works must be sent to the Culture Area of the Association of Municipalities of the Vall d'Albaida, by email to literaturaerotica@mancovall.com . 7. The prize will be awarded around the Night of Sant Joan, in an event that will be announced in due course. 8. Applicants for the award must guarantee their authorship and originality of the work presented, and that it is not a copy or modification of any other literary work. 9.
The presentation of the originals presupposes the full acceptance of these terms and the rights and obligations arising from them. Questions not provided for in these rules will be resolved by the jury at its discretion.
