It is the key body for preserving the historical memory of the city. It collects the documentation produced by the municipal institution since the 14th century.
The Municipal Administrative Archive, after assessment, transfers every year documents that are more than twenty years old. Likewise, the AHG incorporates files from other local and county entities; collects special materials, such as photographs, plans and recordings, and serves as a County Archives Centre. In addition, it includes a historical and classics library, integrated into the municipal and Valencian network.

Vision: to become a documentary center of regional reference in the digital society of information and knowledge.

As archivists, we would highlight the continuity of the series of acts and municipal correspondence from the Middle Ages, the incorporation of public and private faith archives as well as the collections and funds of graphic materials and audiovisual images.
