The Municipal Archive of Altea is a public service managed and owned by Altea Town Council. The Archive is responsible for gathering, guarding, organizing and disseminating the documentation generated by the municipal administration in the performance of its functions.
Throughout the 20th century, the City Council occupied various locations until a definitive building was established in 1968. As a result of the relocations and renovations carried out in the building, the documentation has been scattered across various offices and warehouses.
