In the Municipal Archive of Benimuslem we find the municipal fund resulting from the activity developed by the City Council, preserving documentation from 1876 to the present day. In addition, it has the Fund of the Court of Peace which, although from a different producer, shares the facilities with the City Council and its documentary fund is integrated in the Municipal Archive. It also contains the Fund of the Local Agrarian Chamber which, after its extinction, was incorporated into the Municipal Archive. We also find in this archive, documentation of the Spanish Falange (FET and JONS).
The archive has always been in the Town Hall building, initially on the first floor
low, but as a result of the Pantanada of 1982 and the flood of 1985 it was moved to the second floor (room).
In 2004, Benimuslem City Council joined the experimental phase
of the Archives Service of the Commonwealth of Ribera Alta.
And since March 8, 2005, they have joined the consolidated phase of e dit
service, initially with 1 monthly module (4 hours per month) varying in
some years up to the current 6.5 modules per year (26 hours per year).
