The municipal archive collects and organically guards the administrative documents generated by the Pilar de la Horadada City Council in the exercise of its functions.
Documentary background:
In the Municipal Archives of Pilar de la Horadada we find the municipal fund resulting from the activity developed by the City Council since 1986 (the year in which Pilar de la Horadada ceased to be a parish of Oriola to be constituted as to an independent municipality) until today. It also contains the Fund of the Local Chamber of Agriculture prior to independence, which after its extinction in 1994 was incorporated into the Municipal Archives and contains documentation from 1955.
Highlights:
The documents reflecting the management of the City Council in the exercise of its powers, and which allow to know how the institution promotes municipal development through files related to municipal infrastructures, culture and sport, history about elections municipal, budgets, the segregation of Oriola and its constitution as an independent body and the beginning of its march as a municipality, etc., simultaneously releasing data on the uses and customs of its neighbors in the different periods of its history.
