The Municipal Archive, in addition to being the place where the written material produced by the City Council is kept, is configured as a very important service for citizens, since they can consult the documents that interest them and request copies or reproductions both digital and in paper format.nnIts mission is to collect, preserve, facilitate consultation and disseminate the documentation produced by the different departments of the City Council.
 

Documentary funds

Among other tasks, he prepares classification tables in collaboration with the various parties and departments, prepares the descriptive elements of the documentation, inventories, guides, index and catalogs, with the aim of retrieving the information. It also carries out, facilitates and enhances studies and research on Torrent and the region, and collaborates in the dissemination and dissemination of these works.

Arxiu de Torrent has always been a prolific cultural center. It publishes books, among which the historical research magazine Torrens (1982-2006) stands out, encourages local research among citizens, manages a photo archive of the city and is gradually working on the digitization of Torrent's historical documentary fund and the region.

It also organizes exhibitions and cultural activities related to the conservation and dissemination among society of the documentary and bibliographic heritage of Torrent.
